EurVote Quiznight – get informed, get involved!

Mai 6 @ 18:30

Between the 6th and the 9th of June, millions of Europeans from 27 different member states will be going to the polls to elect the European Parliament. While the nature of the election is European, the voting regulations in each country depend on the national election law. While in Germany, the voting age was changed to 16, the minimum voting age in most member states remains 18.

What all citizens of a European Union member state have in common: They can decide whether they want to vote in the country they are from or in the member state they currently live in. What rights do EU citizens enjoy and how can they participate in the European Parliament election this year?

In a short presentation the team from EUROPE DIRECT Karlsruhe will make aware of the European election and its meaning for European citizens. This will be followed by an entertaining quiz, including a picture and music round as well as questions on European history, geography, culture, society and sport. The event will be in English.

There will of course be drinks and snacks at the pubquiz, too.

We look forward to seeing you at the event!

This is a joint event organised by Europe Direct Karlsruhe, JEF Heidelberg/Mannheim, ESN VISUM Mannheim and the University of Mannheim. The event is part of the EurHope campaign of the JEF Baden-Württemberg.
